The portion that we read today talked about when he came home, he found his wife over dosed on sleeping pills. She was layed out on the bed overdosed. As soon as he saw her he knew what had happened. He called 911 and she got rushed to the hospital. They pumped her stomach and she stayed the night in the hospital. The book talks alot about what is going on in his head during the overdose. When she gets out of the hospital she doesn't know what happened that day and she forgets everything having to do with the overdose.

#1-11

This book is narrated by a guy who is a fireman, this man talks very metaphorically through the beggining of the book. It explains a little bit about his job and what he actually thinks about. After he leaves the firestation he meets a girl. While he is on his way home he meets a new girl. Apparently this girl is new to the negiborhood. The fireman talks to her for a bit about his job and how he constantly smells like kerosene. The girl noticed that he was a fireman because she could smell the keronsene off of him. She doesnt mind the smell. They talk for a little bit while they both walk together toward there homes.
